GARDEN GROVE, CA — The Pacifica Mariners delivered a strong all-around performance on Tuesday afternoon, shutting out the visiting Canyon Comanches 3-0 in a pivotal Crestview League softball matchup.
With the win, Pacifica improves to 14-8 on the season, showcasing a solid balance of pitching and defense. The Mariners capitalized on key scoring opportunities while keeping Canyon’s offense in check throughout the game.
The Comanches, who entered the game with an impressive 18-6 record, struggled to generate momentum against Pacifica’s pitching. Despite several attempts to rally, Canyon couldn’t get on the board, falling to 18-7 with the loss.
Next up, Pacifica hits the road for another important Crestview League clash against Esperanza on Thursday, April 24. The Aztecs, currently holding a 6-18 record, are looking to bounce back after a tough 11-2 non-league loss to Fullerton.
